Obituary for George Gale Flugstad

George Gale (Bud) Flugstad
10-25-28 - 10-8-19
of Commerce City, CO passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 17th at Nativity Lutheran Church - 12500 E. 104th Ave., Commerce City with viewing from 8:30 - 9:00am and service immediately following. Pastor Richard Gianzero will be officiating.
Bud was born in Onalaska, WI. spent 3 years and 7 months serving his country with the Army, spent time in Japan and fought in the Korean war. Following his service, he found his career as a pressman in the printing industry for 35 years and was a proud member of the Lithographer's Union and VFW post 4444.
Married to his best friend and soulmate Doris for the past 38 years, together he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and drives in the mountains. He also enjoyed tinkering on his cars.In Bud's later years, he enjoyed reading mystery novels, eating donuts and meeting with his friends at the coffee shop and became an even bigger fan of Nascar racing before his sight failed him.

Bud is survived by his wife Doris, son Greg (Joan), estranged son, Mike, sister Cathy, daughters Vicki (Chris) Benton, Beth (Robert) Gutierrez, Karen (Scott) Briggs, many great grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Bud is preceded in death by parents Oscar and Kate, sister Mary Swenson, sister Alice Kolstad and daughter Sherri Turner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society.
