Obituary

Obituary for Henry George Archuleta

Henry ‘George’ Archuleta was born on June 7, 1948 in Brighton, CO. He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1967 to 1973. During his enlistment, Henry advanced to the rank of Sargent while deployed to Vietnam. In 2019, Henry was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer due to Agent Orange exposure while deployed. He died from this at the age of 71 on November 30th, 2019 in Thornton, CO.
George was a devoted husband, loving father, and incredible Pookie. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Elsie, his daughters Monica (Kendal), Doreen (Jeramy), and his five grandchildren, Dominic, Destiny, Jonathan, Noah, and Sophia.
George was a generous, loving man who helped many people throughout his life, never wanting anything in return. He loved a good conversation which included many laughs. He was also dedicated to his Catholic faith.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 17th, 2019 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 9371 Wigham St, Thornton, CO 80229. Rosary at 10:00 am, Mass at 10:30 am. Burial will be held at 1:30 pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery 3698 S. Sheridan, Denver, CO 80236. A reception will follow after at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
