Obituary

Obituary for Jingxuan Liu

Jingxuan Liu, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on August 21st 8:10 am in Golden, Colorado at the age of 70.

Jingxuan is survived by his loving wife Wenshu, Sister Jingtao, Hui, Brother Jingxue, Daughter Hongyan, Grandchildren Sebastian and Shawna.

Jingxuan was born in 1949 in a small town of Chengkou near Chongqing China and spent his youth years there until he finished high school. At a young age, due to the passing of his parents, he took responsibility to care for his siblings and raised the family. Jingxuan was not able to continue his education after high school due to the Culture Revolution of China. He joined workforce as a railroad worker in the city of Zigong and was married there to Wenshu. He did excellent work on the post and was promoted to the manager of Zigong Railroad Station Construction Company after a few years. He continued to work in that position on various projects until his retirement in 2008. He made constant visits to the U.S. after his retirement to spend time with his Daughter and grandchildren, and made many friends here.

During his leisure time, Jingxuan liked to travel and cook. He was a perfectionist in all he did. The Chinese dishes he made were loved by his friends and family. He was also a self-taught enthusiastic gardener with specialty in Chinese vegetables. The gardens in his Colorado home produced bountiful harvest that was enjoyed by his family and neighbors. His passing came as a shock to the family but his loving memory will live for an eternity.

Friends and family can pay their respects with visitation on Friday, August 30th from 9 am to 12:00 pm. At Aspen Mortuary, 1350 Simms Street, Lakewood, Colorado. Following visitation, a simple Graveside Service will be held at Golden Cemetery, 755 Ulysses Street, Golden, Colorado at 12:30 pm.
