Obituary for Maxine Lois Myrick

Maxine Myrick - 1926-2019

Maxine Myrick passed quietly to heaven to join family members and good friends who had gone before her.
Maxine was born in Denver, Colorado to Maxwell and Pearl Henderson. She attended and graduated from schools in Arvada, Colorado.

Living in California most of her adult life, she enjoyed caring for children. She loved to work at schools when her children were young from volunteering in the office and playground to being President of the PTA.
In 1992 she moved back to Arvada and began working in her church nursery. As the years went by she became the coordinator for nursery help and working in seven different churches. Children were her passion and she loved them all over the many years she cared for them. Many she babysat for as toddlers and later cared for those grown children’s children!

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, brother Merle Henderson, nephew Stephen Henderson, husband Charles Myrick, her beloved son in law Bruce Carmichael and many dear long-time friends.

She is survived by daughters Lindi Carmichael and Candy Apedaile, sons John Kessler, Jr. and Dwayne Kessler. She had seven grandchildren Mandi Barker, Samara Ridgeway, Rachel Kessler, Amber Kessler, Tyler Kessler, Matthew Kessler and Carly Kessler. She was also blessed with three great-grandsons Kainoa, Keoni and Kapono Ridgeway.
